16. Proceedings before the Authority shall be deemed to be Judicial Proceedings.
(1)All proceedings before the Authority shall be deemed to be judicial proceedings within the meaning of sections 193, 219 and 228 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and the Authority shall be deemed to be a 'Civil Court' for the purposes of section 195 and Chapter XXVI of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.(2)Every proceedings before the Authority shall be completed within a period of ninety days of its commencement, except where the time period is extended by the Authority for the reasons to be recorded in writing.
