The provisions of [Chapter XXXIII of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973,] [Substituted for the word "Chapter XLII of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898" by the Act 15 of 1978, section 17] shall, as far as may be, apply to bonds taken under this Act.
