1. The petitioners have approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in not holding a DPC for promotion to the post of tutor for the last many years.
2. On the last date, learned counsel for the respondent was granted time to file counter affidavit, which has still not been filed.
3. Today, learned counsel for the respondent prays for further time to file counter affidavit. In my view before any further time is granted to the respondents, they ought to explain as to why the DPC is not being held despite availability of vacancies. Learned counsel for the respondent prays for, and is granted, two weeks' time to obtain instructions.
