Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to
call for the impugned notification of the fourth respondent dated
04.09.2024 in respect of Ramanathapuram District Cricket Association
qualifying tournament in II division 2024-2025 league to quash the same
as biased, ultravires and unconstitutional and consequently direct the
fourth respondent to conduct the qualifying round after announcing the
eliminated team in the 2023-2024 league and to take action on 5th to 9th
respondents for their unlawful act in the match based on the petitioner's

complaint dated 08.06.2024 and 14.07.2024 and representation dated
12.09.2024 in accordance with law, within time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to quash the impugned notification of the fourth respondent dated 04.09.2024.
2. The petitioner team has been participating in the Ramanathapuram District Cricket Association (RDCA)/fourth respondent herein for the past 25 years and every year in the league matches conducted by RDCA, the petitioner team is being played in the division match stage without elimination. As such, the petitioner team participated in 2023-2024 league match and got good run rate. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the match conducted on 08.06.2024 is full of collusion for retaining the respondents 5 and 7, which is against the Rule of BCCI and TNCA. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint before the fourth respondent to take action against the Page No.3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.(MD)No.22748 of 2024 respondents 5 to 9. In these circumstances, on 04.09.2024, the fourth respondent published a notification to call for the applications for qualifying round without announcing the disqualified team. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

At the outset, the very writ petition is not maintainable, merely because one of the teams earlier won the game and lost one of the matches, it cannot be assumed that there is a match fixing, unless there are strong material evidences with regard to the corruption. Therefore, at the whims and fancies, it cannot be assumed that the result is out of match fixing. Hence, I do not find any merits in this writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
