Section 641 in Bihar Education Code, 1961

641. Free tuition after the scholarship period.

- The privilege of free tuition may be granted for two years to lower or upper primary scholars on the expiry of their scholarships. At a Government High/Higher Secondary Schools (including Sarvodaya High School) the privilege may be sanctioned by the Headmaster/Principal. In the case of privately managed or board schools the extension requires the sanction of the Managing Committee of the school or of the Chairman of the Board or the District Superintendent of Education as the case may be. These free-studentships may be granted in addition to the number admissible under the ordinary rule for Government and aided schools and applications for them must be accompanied by a fee similar to that required in the case of the transfer of a scholarship.(Government notification no. 2200-E., dated the 25th April, 1927, R. & O., page 274, para 7)
