SHRI RATTAN LAL KATARIA (AMBALA): I would like to bring to the kind notice of Hon'ble Prime Minister that Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram had been instrumental for planning and augmentation of Bhakra Nangal Canal and Dam during his tenure as member of Punjab Assembly and Agriculture and Development Minister in the Ministry of Sir Sikender Hayat Khan from the year 1924-26 and 1937-45. Hence, he has played a pivotal role in providing irrigation and drinking water facilities throughout the area of undivided Punjab. Thus, installation of statue of Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram at Bhakra Nangal Dam is of prime public importance.
Therefore, I humbly request Honble Prime Minister for installation of statue of Deen Bandhu Sir Chhotu Ram at Bhakra Nangal Dam.
