30. Prohibition of cutting of trees.
(1)At the time of issuing a notification under section 20 or at any time thereafter the State Government may make an order prohibiting, until the date of the publication of a notification under section 35 and subject to such conditions and exceptions as may be specified in the order, the cutting, collection and removal of any trees, or any class o trees, in the area in respect of which such notification is issued, and effect shall be given to such order notwithstanding anything contained in any contract, grant or record-of-rights to the contrary:Provided that the order shall not apply to an area the proposal to constitute which as a Controlled Forest is dropped.(2)Every such order shall be published in the neighbourhood of the said area in the prescribed manner.
