(1)The provisions contained in the Orissa Prevention of Land Encroachment [Act, 1972] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1451 dated 16.9.2003 (O.A. 16 of 2003).] [(Orissa Act 6 of 1972)] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1451 dated 16.9.2003 (O.A. 16 of 2003).] shall be applicable, as far as may be, in respect of unauthorised occupation of any land belonging to the Temple as if it were property of Government within the meaning of that Act.(2)[Chief Administrator] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1836 dated 27.12.2004 (O.A. 12 of 2004).] may with the prior approval of the Committee, make an application for taking up appropriate proceedings under the said Act to the authority competent thereunder and thereupon it shall be lawful for such authority to take action in accordance with the provisions contained in that Act.
