Section 9(1) in Uttarakhand Technical University Act, 2005
(1)The vice-chancellor shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Chancellor from amongst distinguished persons in the field of technical education whose names are submitted to him by the committee constituted in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2) :Provided that the first Vice-chancellor shall be appointed by the State Government.
