                         ORDER

Facts:

1. The appellant filed RTI application dated 24.3.2014 seeking copy of all the documents related to letter No.NC/DSA/Abst dated 27.6.1990, copies of letters sent at residential address, copy of correspondence made after 27.6.1990. The appellant filed first appeal dated nil before the first appellate authority (FAA). The response of CPIO and FAA is not on record. The appellant filed a second appeal dated 30.5.2014 with the Commission praying for information sought.
Hearing:
2. The appellant participated in the hearing through video conferencing. The respondent did not participate in the hearing.
3. The appellant referred to his RTI application dated 2.3.2016 and stated that no information has been provided to him by the respondent. Observation:
4. The CPIO/his representative did not participate in the hearing in spite of Commission's hearing notice. The hearing should be attended by a suitable officer.
Decision:
5. The respondent is directed to provide, within 30 days of this order, information to the complainant in context of the RTI application and copy of reply endorsed to the Commission.
6. The respondent is directed to show cause, within 30 days of this order, why action should not be taken against him for trying to deny information by not attending the hearing.

The appeal is disposed of. Copy of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
