62. Power to assume management of land holder's holding.
- Notwithstanding any law for the time being in force, usage or custom or the terms of contract or grant, when the State Government is satisfied that on account of the neglect of a landholder or disputes between him and his tenants, the cultivation of his holding has seriously suffered, or when if appears to the State Government that in the public interest it is necessary for the purpose of improving the cultivation or ensuring the full and efficient use of land for agriculture to assume management of any landholder holding for such period as it may think fit, a notification announcing such intention and stating such period shall be published in Official Gazette and the Collector shall cause notice of the substance of such notification to be given at convenient places in the locality where the holding is situated. Such notification shall be conclusive.
