(1)The Government shall constitute such Panchayat Election Tribunals as may be necessary, on the recommendation of the High Court to dispose of all direct election petitions challenging elections under this Act. The jurisdiction, powers and functions and the headquarters of the Tribunal shall be decided by the Government in consultation with the High Court, except as provided in section 10 of this Act.
