Section 145(a) in The M.P. Municipalities Act, 1961
(a)Whosoever fails to give notice of an increase of rent required by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 143 or gives notice of an increase of rent which in substance is untrue, he shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
