(1)This Act may be called the Bombay University Act, 1974.(2)It shall come into force on such [date] [20th day of May, 1974, vide G. N., E. D., No. UBL-1074-U, dated 20th May, 1974.] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
