Section 3 in The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Act, 1998
3. Establishment of the University.
(1)There shall be established a University by the name of "Baba Farid University of Health Sciences" having jurisdiction in whole of the State of Punjab.(2)The University shall be a body corporate by the name specified in sub-section (1) and shall have perpetual succession and common seal. It shall have power to acquire, hold and dispose of property both movable and immovable and shall sue and be sued by the said name.(3)The headquarters of the University shall be at Faridkot or at such place as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
