Section 3(7)(a) in Haryana Municipal (Registration and Proper Control of Dogs) Bye-laws 2005

(a)Any dog without collar or other marks distinguishing them as private property and not wearing the metal token of registration in accordance with clause (3), if found straying on the street or beyond the enclosures of the house of the owner of such dog, may be detained at the direction of the person authorized by the committee to carry out these duties and destroyed or otherwise disposed of it not claimed within one week. A fee of Rs. 50/- per day or part thereof, will be leviable on, and recoverable from, the owner for such period of detention in a place named by the committee.
