Section 14(1) in The Dharmsinh Desai University Act, 2005
(1)The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:-(i)the Vice-Chancellor of the University, ex-officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;(ii)two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the Board;(iii)two external academicians or professionals in the area of science and technology, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(iv)two Deans of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(v)one Professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(vi)the Registrar who shall be the non-member secretary of the Council.
