13. The Visitor.
(1)His Excellency the Governor of Karnataka shall be the Visitor of the University and the visitor may offer suggestions for the improvement of the functioning of the University.(2)The visitor shall preside over the convocation of the university for conferring Degree and Diploma.(3)The Visitor shall have the following powers, namely:-(i)to call for any paper or information relating to the affairs of the University;(ii)on the basis of the information received by the Visitor, if he is satisfied that any order, proceedings, or decision taken by any authority of the University is not in conformity with the Act, regulations or rules, he may issue such directions as he may deem fit in the interest of the University and the directions so issued shall be complied with by all concerned.
