(2)If any notice issued under sub-section (1) is not duly complied with, the [Executive Officer] [Substituted 'Chairman' by Act No. 11 of 2017, dated 31.3.2017.] may, with the assistance of the police or any employee of the Municipality, if necessary, take such steps as he may deem fit to stop the continuance of the unlawful work.
