51. Empanelment of special counsel by Commission.
(1)The Commission may draw up a panel of legal practitioners or chartered accountants or company secretaries or cost accountants to assist in proceedings before the Competition Appellate Tribunal or any other quasi judicial body or Court.(2)The Director General may call upon the legal practitioners or chartered accountants or company secretaries or cost accountants from the panel for assistance in the proceedings before the Commission, if so required.(3)The remuneration payable and other allowances and compensation admissible to counsel shall be specified in consultation with the Commission.
