Section 639(1) in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003
(1)Whoever acts as a Corporator, knowing that under this Act or the rules made thereunder, he is not entitled or has ceased to be entitled to hold such office, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
