Section 56(1) in Haryana Panchayati Raj Finance, Budget, Accounts, Audit, Taxation and Works Rules, 1996
(1)No payment shall be made for any voucher either in cash or by means of cheque unless it bears a pay order signed or initialled specifying the amount payable both in words and figures.
