                              ORAL ORDER

1. This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred with a prayer to direct the respondents-authorities to consider and decide the representation dated 4-12-2013 preferred by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible.

2. The petitioner had passed the MBBS examination in March 1999 and completed his Internship in November,2000. He was appointed as Medical Officer, Page 1 of 3 C/SCA/17925/2013 ORDER Class II vide order dated 13-10-2006. The petitioner had been appointed on the basis of a Bond/Undertaking submitted by him at the time of seeking admission to the MBBS course. After completion of the Bond period, the services of the petitioner were continued on the same post and was discharging his duties as Medical Officer, Class II. The petitioner did not pass the GPSC examination during the bond period. The services of the petitioner were terminated vide order dated 16- 10-2013 regarding which the petitioner had preferred a petition before this Court, being Special Civil Application No.16965 of 2013.

3. The petitioner has preferred a representation dated 4-12-2013 to the respondent-authorities, inter alia, requesting for permission to appear in the GPSC Examination. The said representation has not been decided till date and the petitioner apprehends that the date of the examination would be notified soon,therefore, he has approached this Court by way of the present petition.

Mr.P.B.Khambholja, learned advocate for Mr.N.K.Majmudar, learned counsel for the petitioner Page 2 of 3 C/SCA/17925/2013 ORDER submits that the respondent-authorities may be directed to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, within a time bound period.

5. Upon the above statement being made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, the following order is passed:

The competent respondent-authority(authorities) may consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 4-12-2013, in accordance with law, and as expeditious as possible but not later than a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The petition is disposed of, in the above terms, without entering into the merits of the case.

Direct service of this order is permitted.
