Section 34 in The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

34. Cognizance of offences.

(1)No Court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act or of the abetment of any such offence, save on complaint made by or under the authority of the appropriate Government.
(2)No Court inferior to that of [a Metropolitan Magistrate or a Judicial Magistrate of the first class] [ Substituted by Act 46 of 1982, Section 20, for " a Presidency Magistrate or a Magistrate of the first class" (w.e.f. 21.8.1984).] shall try any offence punishable under this Act.
