Section 17(9) in The First Statutes of Indian Institute of Technology Goa, 2017
(9)In the absence of the Director, the Deputy Director, or any member of the faculty of the Institute who is appointed to perform the current duties of the Director, shall be the Chairman of the Selection Committees.
