Section 14 in The Tamil Nadu Building and Construction Workers (Conditions of Employment and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1984
14. Hours of work.
(1)No adult workers shall be required or allowed to work in any establishment for more than nine hours in any day or for more than forty-eight hours in any week.(2)No adolescent shall be employed or required to work for more than six hours a day inclusive of half an hour rest.
