(2)Between the first day of April and the thirty-first day of October in each year, every prisoner shall be supplied daily with such antiscorbutics in such quantity as the Inspector-General may, from time to time, by general or special order in that behalf, prescribe. Provided that nothing herein contained shall be deemed to limit the power of the Medical Officer at any time to direct the supply to any prisoner or class of prisoners, of such antiscorbutics as may, in his opinion, be necessary.
