Section 8(i) in Tamil Nadu Hill Areas (Preservation of Trees) Rules, 1957
(i)The Committee shall, before granting permission under section 3(1), require a Forest Officer not below the rank of Range Officer to inspect the tree concerned and to make a report to the Committee on the application in Form III.
