Section 24(2)(ii) in Engineering Courses to Bachelor of Engineering and Technology Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2013

(ii)the supernumerary seats not exceeding five percent of seats as per sub- rule (i) of rule 4 of the colleges or institutions shall be filled on the basis of merit of the candidate, whose parent's annual income is less than Rs. 4.50 lakhs from all sources of income;
