53. Overriding effect of this Act.
- The provisions of this Act shall apply notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Northern India Canal and Drainage Act, 1873, the Uttar Pradesh Area Development Act, 1976 and the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Jal Prabandh Samiti) Rules, 1989 or in any other law for the time being in force.
