(2)Timely information of the release of an inmate and of the probable date of his release shall be given to his parent or guardian and the parent or the guardian shall be invited to come to the institution to take charge of the inmate on that date. If necessary, the actual expenses of the parent or guardian's journey both ways and of the child's journey from the institution shall be paid to the parent or guardian by the Superintendent at the time of the release of the child. If the parent or guardian, as the case may be, fails to come to take charge of the child on the appointed date, the child shall be taken to his native place by the escort of the institution:Provided that girls shall be escorted by a female escort.
