Facts :-
Heard today dated 20.05.2013. Appellant not present. The IGNOU is represented by Shri Prithipal Singh, Assistant Registrar(PIO) and Shri Sunil Kumar, Dealing Assistant.
2. The appellant had filed a representation dated 27.12.2010 before the President of India requesting for award of B.Sc(Major) Degree to his son Debyendu Sarkhel. Vide RTI application dated 7.2.2011, the appellant had sought information regarding the action taken on his representation mentioned above. Initially, vide letter dated 1.12.2010, the CPIO had informed the appellant that his son had fallen short of four credits of Lab Courses and had advised the appellant's son to take these Lab Courses.
3. However, during the hearing, Shri Singh submits that degree has since been awarded to the appellant's son and this has been duly communicated to the appellant vide letter dated 1.10.2011. In view of the above, the appeal has become infructuous. Dismissed.
