Section 25(1) in The Indian Medical Council, Rules, 1957

(1)The Central Government may, on objection made by a candidate for any election within a period of thirty days from the date of the returned candidate, or of its own motive at any time, declare the election to be void on account of bribery, undue influence or other corrupt practice which, in the opinion of the Central Government, has interfered with the free and fair conduct of the election or for any other sufficient cause, and may call on the electorate to make a fresh election.
