SHRIMATI APARUPA PODDAR (ARAMBAG) : In my Arambagh Lok Sabha Constituency, Chandrakona is an SC Assembly, which is in Paschim Mednipur district, which has no Kendriya Vidyalaya. The SC/ST and Backward Classes have been deprived of education in Kendriya Vidyalaya Schools.
There is only one Kendriya Vidyalaya in Tarakeshwar, Hoogly District which is 70 KM away from Chandrakona. The majority population of my Parliamentary Constitutency consists of Backward and SC/ST population. The atrocity on the dalit student is continuning as the people of Arambagh SC Assembly; Goghat SC Assembly and Chandrakona SC Assembly are not getting the benefit of Kendriya Vidyalaya education.
It is sad to note that the birth place of Raja Ram Mohan Roy is facing this kind of sad situation.
