(1)There shall be a University by the name "the Bharathiar University".(2)The University shall be a body corporate, shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name.(3)The headquarters of the University shall be located within the limits of the city of Coimbatore or in any place within a radius of twenty-five kilometers around those limits.
