Section 10(3) in The Dibrugarh University Act, 1965
(3)The Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole time officer of the University who shall hold office for a period of five years and shall be eligible for re-appointment:Provided that notwithstanding the expiry of the aforesaid period of five years, he shall continue in office until his successor is appointed and enters upon his office.
