(3)An application for the renewal of a prospecting licence shall be disposed of by the competent authority before the expiry of the prospecting licence.Provided that if the application for renewal of a prospecting licence is not disposed of before expiry of the prospecting licence, period of prospecting licence shall be deemed to have been extended for a period till the date of disposal of the application or the period for which renewal may have been granted, whichever is earlier.
