UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
O R D E R
1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner is involved in a case of assault leading to the death pursuant to FIR No. 126 Signature Not Verified of 2025 dated 05.06.2025 registered with Police Digitally signed by SNEHA DAS Date: 2026.03.20 19:06:56 IST Reason: Station Jaijaipur, District-Sakti, Chhattisgarh under Sections 331(6), 296, 115(2), 351(2), 109, 103(2), 190, 191(2), 191(3) of BNS, 2023.

3. The incident took place on 04.06.2025 and the petitioner was arrested on 06.06.2025. He is in jail ever since then.
4. Charges have been framed. There are 25 witnesses cited in the charge sheet out of which 5 have been examined.
5. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, we are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order passed by the High Court rejecting the bail at this stage.
6. Accordingly, we dispose of the Special Leave Petition with the direction to the Trial Court to complete the examination of all the material witnesses within a period of four months from today by fixing short dates and declining unnecessary adjournments.
7. In the event the examination of material witnesses is not completed within the aforesaid time, it will be open for the petitioner to renew the bail application before the appropriate Court.
8. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
