Delay condoned.
We have heard Mrs. K. Sarada Devi, learned counsel who has been appointed through Supreme Court Legal Services Committee to appear and argue the matter on behalf of the petitioner.
We do not find any good ground warranting interference with the verdict of conviction of the petitioner, under Sections 302 read with 34 I.P.C., in exercise of our jurisdiction under Article Signature Not Verified Digitally signed by MAHABIR SINGH Date: 2019.10.18 136 of the Constitution of India.

At this stage, Mrs. K. Sarada Devi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, has drawn the attention of the Court to the 2 custody certificate and submitted that the petitioner has undergone actual imprisonment of more than 14 years and with remission, he has undergone imprisonment for more than 19 years.
Having regard to the submission and the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is at liberty to file an application/representation before the competent authorities/State for considering his case for remission. As and when such an application/representation is filed/made, the same shall be considered by the concerned authorities as per the prevalent Government Policy and appropriate orders on the same be passed as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law.
With the above observation, the special leave petition is disposed of.
Pending applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
