(2)The Commissioner shall in the first instance hold office for such period not exceeding three years as the [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government may fix and his appointment may be renewed from time to time for a period not exceeding three years at a time.
