2/ 12/9/2008. This batch of writ applications has been listed at serial '0' on a motion slip file that the petitioners did not wish to press their writ application on merits, but wanted an appropriate order for disposal of their -8- representation only.
When the matter is called out, learned counsel for the petitioners reiterates that he does not wish to press the writ applications on merit at all and only wants appropriate orders for disposal of the representations.
At this stage, learned counsels for the State in some of the writ applications point out that the representations of the petitioners have already been disposed and rejected.
Be that as it may, when the petitioners themselves are unmindful of this situation, there is little for this Court to say on that aspect of the matter.
The writ applications are disposed with the direction that the representations of the petitioners be decided expeditiously in accordance with law which they propose to file.
It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the matter which shall remain within the discretion/jurisdiction of the respondents concerned, in accordance with law, in its entirety.
