Section 24(1) in The Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966
(1)If the Government consider that any antiquities or class of antiquities ought not to be moved from the place where they are without their sanction, the Government may, by notification, direct that any such antiquity or any class of such antiquities shall not be moved except with the written permission of the Director.
