47. Contents to be explained to deponent.
- The person before whom an affidavit is sworn shall ask the deponent if he has read the affidavit and understands the contents thereof. If the deponent states that he has not read it or appears not to understand the contents or does not know the language thereof, he shall read and explain or cause another person to read and explain in his presence, the affidavit to such person. Until he is satisfied that the deponent fully understands its contents he shall not allow the affidavit to be sworn.
