The petitioner was granted bail by the Sessions Court, Thrissur subject to certain conditions. The accusation was that he sexually abused his 17 year old step-daughter and thus committed the offences under sections 6 and 10 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) of Children Act, 2000. One of the conditions is that he shall not enter the limits of Pazhayannur Police Station except for complying with the direction in the bail order. The prayer is to delete the condition.
2. Heard.
3. The learned Sessions Judge imposed the condition apparently for the reason that the petitioner's presence in the area will frighten the child and adversely affect the investigation. I do not find any reason to delete the condition.
In the result, this petition is dismissed.
