1. The petitioner seeks interim suspension of sentence. The petitioner has been convicted for offences under Sections 366A/370/372/373/328/ 342/120B IPC and Sections 4/5/6 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act by an order dated 16.07.2020 and has been sentenced to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under sections 328 IPC and a fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of the payment of fine the appellant was sentenced to undergo six months simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo one year of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under sections 342 IPC and fine of Rs.1000/-, in default of the payment of fine, the appellant was sentenced to undergo one month of simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 366-A IPC and fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of fine 6 months of simple CRL.A. 413/2020 Page 1 of 2 imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for ten years for offences under section 372 of IPC and fine of Rs.10,000/- in default of fine she was sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment of 6 months. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment under Section 373 IPC and a fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of fine 6 months of simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence u/s 120-B IPC and fine of Rs.10,000/- and in default of fine 6 months of simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 4 of ITP Act and fine of Rs.1,000 and in default of fine one month of simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 14 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 5 of ITP Act and fine of Rs.2,000/- and in default of fine 1 month of simple imprisonment. The appellant was further sentenced to undergo 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence under Section 6 of ITP Act and fine of Rs 10,000/- and in default of fine 6 months of simple imprisonment.
2. The application was filed on 13.10.2020 and on 23.04.2021 the appellant has not pressed the application citing Covid-19 Pandemic situation.
3. This Court feels that there is no urgency for the applications to be heard during vacation.
