(2)Except in cases provided for by the Statutes, every salaried officer and teacher of the University shall be appointed under a written contract. The contract shall be. lodged with the [Kulpati (Vice-Chancellor)] [Substituted by U.P Act 29 of 1974, vide Section 27 for The Vice-Chancellor] and a copy thereof shall be furnished to the officer or teacher concerned. The contract shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and of the Statutes for the lime being in force in relation to the conditions of service.
