Section 41(1) in The Maharashtra Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2002
(1)During the absence of the Officer-in-Charge of an institution on short leave (other than casual leave) or during a vacancy in the post of Officer-in-Charge of an institution for a short period for other reasons, the Commissioner, Women and Child Development shall authorize any of the officer to perform the duties of the Officer-in-Charge of the institutions.
