Section 11(1) in The Gujarat Ayurved University Act, 1965
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at meetings of the Senate and any convocation of the University. He shall be an ex-officio member and Chairman of the Syndicate [of the Board of Post-Graduate Teaching and Research] [These words inserted by Gujarat No. 30 of 2003, dated 19th September 2003.], and of the committees constituted under Section 41. He shall be entitled to be present with the right to speak, at any meeting of any authority or body of the University, but shall not be entitled to vote thereat unless he is member of that authority or body.
