Section 17(1) in The Maharashtra Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2002
(1)The State Government may recognise non-Governmental organization to establish shelter homes for the children in need of care and protection. Such Homes shall have at least the minimum facilities of boarding and lodging besides the provision for fulfilment of basic needs in terms of clothing, food, health care and nutrition etc.
