- After a defaulter has been proceeded against unsuccessfully under the foregoing provisions of this Chapter or with partial success, any sum due or the balance of any sum due may be recovered by the Chairman as a public demand under the Bengal Public Demands Recovery Act, 1913 (Ben. Act III of 1913), together with interest and cost of recovery.
